Reimagining what an art gallery can be, MAMA Albury is so much more than a showcase of art. It is an all-encompassing contemporary art experience balancing international touring exhibitions with deep connections to the surrounding region and its thriving cultural identity. Bold, vibrant and alive, MAMA focuses strongly on innovative, self-curated exhibitions and features a stunning 24-hour ‘art skin’, interactive workshops and an immersive cultural experiences.
Located in two iconic Albury buildings with dual frontage on the main street and onto QEII Square, MAMA is part of a unique creative cultural hub which includes the Albury Entertainment Centre and the award-winning Albury Library Museum which features state-of-the-art technology, engaging interactive exhibitions as well as reading and research resources. Designed by nationally renowned architects Ashton Ragatt McDougall, the facility is Australia’s first library and museum under one roof.
With an ultimate aim to stimulate your senses and challenge your mind, MAMA puts you in the picture with their evolving curation of the very best international, Indigenous and local exhibitions.
Enriching the experience of their exhibition schedule is key and MAMA does this by providing the opportunity to engage with debate and current ideas through the perspectives of artists, curators, professionals and key cultural commentators via their programme of workshops and events.

EAT AT MAMA: Canvas Eatery by Tim Tehan
Former Holbrook Farm boy Tim Tehan takes a bite of MAMA’s cafe has returned to take up residence at MAMA with his newest restaurant offering, Canvas Eatery. A modern, airy and light-filled dining space opening onto n outdoor terrace overlooking the QEII green space. The food offering emphasizes seasonality and fresh ingredients and is paired with a sophisticated wine list and boutique beers.
SHOP AT MAMA:
A haven for shoppers with a cultural bias, Albury Art Gallery’s retail space features a curated collection of bespoke designed homewares, independently designed and handmade gifts, jewellery, art and more with a focus on Australian made products.
The educational toys, unique gifts, creativity kits, books, jewellery, glassware and ceramics and merchandise are designed to support and promote MAMA’s collection and constantly evolving exhibition program.
