Community come together for cuppa in fight against cancer
Posted on: 21 July 2014
A CUPPA went a long way to raising more than $1000 when the Blacktown Advocate hosted its Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday. Members of the business community mingled with non-profit groups and readers to contribute to the Cancer Council fundraiser at the Salvation Army hall.
The event has thrived thanks to community generosity. Businesses who donated prizes included Atura Hotel, Skyline Drive-in Cinema, Royal Cricketers Arms, Hoyts Blacktown, Bam Bam Music Blacktown, BREED, Boogie Bop Dames at Seven Hills and Featherdale Wildlife Park at Doonside.
