In a line-up that included properties, restaurants and employees from Sydney’s finest hotels, Atura Blacktown ensured the tourism spotlight rested firmly on Western Sydney at the prestigious NSW Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) Awards for Excellence 2014 held last night at Sydney’s Westin Hotel.
The urban, industrial and art-inspired hotel property cemented its position on Sydney’s accommodation hot list by clinching three accolades at a glittering black tie gala dinner that celebrates the achievements of the hotel industry in helping maintain NSW’s position as a premier tourism and conferencing destination.
Accolades won by Atura Blacktown included:
– Winner of Accommodation Hotel of the Year (Mid-Range)
– Employee Excellence in Service: Michelle Paul, Atura Blacktown Receptionist
– Hotel Industry Rising Star: Jessica Harford, Atura Blacktown Receptionist
– The Roadhouse Bar & Grill achieved ‘Highly Commended’ in the category ‘Brasserie/Cafe of the Year’.
Against a stellar line-up of four and five-star properties, Atura Blacktown also made finalist status for Outstanding Community Service & Achievement and Hotel Receptionist Michelle Paul was a finalist in the category Front of House Employee of the Year.
These achievements are no mean feat for a new hotel that was only launched in mid-October 2013. High on value, design and personality, Atura Blacktown’s edgy, high-energy, high value, industrial styling and exemplary service standards proved the brand has hit the mark with this new hotel proposition.
